    1. Blue. I think it gives the right cold, dead appearance. The green is garish. Plus Kerem choose blue and I think as the artist his opinion should count for a lot.

  2. I agree, and Green is more "undeady too", but Kerem likes the blue. I'm torn.

  3. Green. More contrast with the background [2]

    ReplyDelete
  4. Green FOR SURE! So much more necromantic!!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Green. I like the contrast better.

    ReplyDelete
  6. With the two decks, can 1 be blue and 1 be green?

    ReplyDelete
  7. @Devil that would drive the printing costs up.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I like the Blue (Green makes me think zombie, Not something from necromancy).

    ReplyDelete
  9. Blue is more 'Spectral' undead and a much cooler colour than the green which looks ok but green is a tad obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Blue, coz the green clashes with the background terribly. It actually makes it look kinda cheap and nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Green, I better to distinct bones to magic essence...

However, in future expansion, would be nice the other colour came up with another power.. even a red, and yellow... Oh wait that's too much the almighty power rangers =p

    ReplyDelete
  12. BLUE for sure....110% agree with Richard on the blue looking more Spectral. Green is frankly way too obvious and looks like every other undead iteration out there. Blue is WAYYY more elegant and original so my vote is with Kerem on this one!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I vote for blue. Looks more like a spirit or apparition is possessing the bones. More ethereal. I keep thinking 'poison' or 'diseased' with the green.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Blue. Absolutely. The green looks undead, sure, in the stereotypical zombie sense, but the contrast is frankly rather garish in comparison. The blue makes it look unearthly and powerful like a ghoul, as opposed to a green oozing slimy swamp monster.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Definitely the blue, evokes a different feeling than the green does.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Blue. Because green impresses a life and vitality. But this dragon must be what revolts against them.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree with Luis. Green is a better contrast.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Sure, green has more contrast with the background, but I honestly feel it's not a desirable effect. The blue is much smoother and compliments the dragon's skeletal structure... which is more important IMHO.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I like the blue in this version and the green in the original sketch (which I realize is not really the question being asked). The blue here "within" the skeleton makes it feel as if it is the dragon come back to life or un-death. In the original sketch I really like how the green is "outside" the more bone-color skeleton. It conveys life to the green itself as if some green energy just happened upon the bones of a dragon and imbued them with it's own life-force. Or maybe I'm thinking too hard.

  20. While I think that in general a pale green is accepted as the universal color for necromancy (for whatever reason), this green is too bright of a color, and therefore the blue is better. However, if it was the pale green from the concept, I think it would be the way to go.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Blue, very icy/spectral looking, and the blue looks much cooler with the purple

    ReplyDelete
  22. Originally I thought I would like the green better, but seeing it, blue is aesthetically much more pleasing. Now that the term spectral has been applied I "get" it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Blue. Why? Because I'm not a green fan; I like blue, and a cool blue dragon would be nice.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Green.

It provides a much better contrast and looks more undead to me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Green - Blue reminds me of Syndragosa

    ReplyDelete
  26. Blue!

    Cold and dead.

    Green looks way to flowery.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Green for sure. It conveys a sense of necromancy much better than the blue.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah, Blue. I agree that it looks more spectral. And I just think it looks awesome. The green kind of looks like he's got poison mist. :P

    ReplyDelete
  29. Green. I like the blue coloring but not for an undead. Maybe use the blue for the celestial.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Blue, for the reasons given above -- it just makes for a better-looking card.

(If you really want to know what I think, the "preliminary sketch" at the bottom of the KS page was by far better than both of these....)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Blue. Blue gives it more of the undead feel.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like the Green, it's more vibrant.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Green for sure. Contrasts more with the background to bring out the skeleton of the dragon.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I vote blue... looks more ghostly. The green is too bright.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Blue. The color is smoother and fits more nicely, the green is too eye-searing.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Green fits better with thze undead theme, but the blue fits better to the current background. i would prefer the green dragon with a more suitable background color

    ReplyDelete
  37. Blue. More spirit like.

Green is more on the poison side, which is different from undead.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Green. It stands out against the background and looks more sickly, as undead should.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Green, because of contrast, but it would be cool to have both (since they both look AWESOME).

"The Great Undead Dragon Controversy 2014" begins....

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think blue has a more undead feel to it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Blue. It just looks more sleek.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Blue. I can feel the cold, lifeless energy when I see this. Green seems too 'alive' to me.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm going for blue, I actually like how the colors blend in. Green is just a little too sharp for my eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Green.

I greatly prefer the green. Blue looks too much like a frost dragon. In my imagination, necromancy's got a little of the (anti-)organic to it, so green is fitting.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'd say blue. It seems more magically animating to me, bright green is more of a natural life color.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Green is the best.
The Blue has an electrical feel to it that is nice. However the Green just jumps right out there at you. Very magical in nature.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Green. It has better contrast and looks creepier.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Green, definitely has a more undead/unholy feel.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm torn, I have to admit. I like them both. My vote today is for Blue (in agreement with others that the other looks a little obvious)

    ReplyDelete
  50. My heart says blue but there's no denying that the green contrasts more with the purple background and gives the dragon a more vibrant appearance. I vote green.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I vote for blue. The green almost too in-your-face. I like the subtlety of the blue. It's menacing, but also compelling. It also hints at a darker, unseen power.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I choose the blue as preferred color. Its darker which reminds me more of necromancy
The green is to bright to be coming fourth from dark magic.
    my 2 cents

    ReplyDelete
  53. Blue. It "pops" better and seems colder too...

    ReplyDelete
  54. Blue. The green energy looks somewhat artificial, blue seems more suited for a lightning-type energy. Perhaps if the green were a bit more bluish it would look more natural.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Blue! The Blue contrasts with the background better as well as it being a common color used for a ghostly or spectral nature. Green is more of a nature or poison color and doesn't fit well with the theme. The green clashes horribly with the purple background as well.

    ReplyDelete
  56. blue, looks more undead. Green usually means life

    ReplyDelete
  57. Blue. I associate green with life, not undead.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Green!
The blue version blends with the sekeleton too much losing some of the "ghostly" effect, whereas the green is more striking.

    ReplyDelete
  59. It IS a hard call. My only problem with the blue is that it makes the card look almost exactly like Sindragosa from Wrath of the Lich King. The green is a little too bright and it mutes out the gorgeous art. :(

If the choice is a flat either/or, I have to go with blue.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I thought green would be nicer and convey a more undead feel, but this green is too bright and vibrant. A duller, more sickly green would be much better. As it stands, the blue is better than this current green.

    ReplyDelete
  61. GREEN --- the color of death and "putridness".

    ReplyDelete
  62. Evile Magicks tend to be more GREEN than blue. >:}

    ReplyDelete
  63. Gotta go green, It a bit more and dunno feels more undead.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I choose Blue!

Green is the color of plants, of life.

Blue is a "colder" color - the coldness of almost death.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Even though GREEN is my all time favorite color and I choose it for everything, the blue does look more spectral and ghostly. Th Green would be better suited for something like a Pestilence Dragon

    ReplyDelete
  66. I like the green better if it were on a different background.

    so blue.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I like them both and I agree the Green on Purple background makes for nice contrast, but to me it screams Cthulhu which has no place in a dragon game. The Spectral Blue as it's being called has to be my choice. Go Blue!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Blue...it leaves that piercing chill.

    ReplyDelete
  69. The blue works better with the purple background. Analogous colours are subtler and can be much more effective. The blue implies an electric 'life' force, a spirit, an essence. I liked the green with the original background colour, but it just doesn't work as well on the purple.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Green, the contrast with the background is nicer, even if I usually prefer the blue undeads.

    ReplyDelete
  71. BLUE - Looks much cleaner. And Green as undead has been done to death.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I iam in the Green camp. Much richer and more viberant against the background!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Tough choice, but I think I'll have to say I like BLUE a smidgen better.

    ReplyDelete
  74. They both look great but I vote Blue.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Blue is more representative of dead and cold. Green is more representative of a dragon. I vote for blue in this case.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Blue looks way better - more "realistic" and scary

    ReplyDelete
  77. Green is sooo much cooler, besides green and purple are oldschool netrunner colors, and they have been used together for a long time because of the way they complement each other.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Blue, as my eyes hurt when I look at green.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Actually I prefer the one on the page of kickstarter more than both of these, it's both more dragonish and more undeadish, these ones are more magical.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I say blue. Green reminds me a poison. Blue gives a feel of magic and feeling of cold death.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Blue. The green, aside from being a bit overpowering to me in this case, is also the wrong colour for this type of dragon, I think - it either speaks to vitality (which is by definition the opposite of what this dragon is about) or to poison, which I think is irrelevant. Blue is a cool colour, less lively and more subdued (which I think is good in the context of death) but it does pack some power by how closely the art on the dragon resembles lightning (which in general is a good element for a dragon, reminiscent of tempests and danger and of air, the essence of any dragon)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Blue, although in looking at the background, I'd also recommend a shift in the purples to a slightly more gray tone to complement the blue.

    ReplyDelete
  83. How about green for the main game, then throw the blue version in with the Celestial Dragon add-on?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Green, but a shade darker (more sinister)

    ReplyDelete
  85. Blue, no question. Where some see contrast with the green and purple, I just see clash. Blue complements the purple background nicely, and the piece feels more whole that way.

If you really want the green, the background should change. If you like the purple background, stick with the blue.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I vote blue, I was torn with green but only because it's more vibrant than the blue against the darker purple background. Maybe even a more vibrant blue or lighten the purple background against the blue. I understand the darkness of the purple for undead, but the current darkness is muddying up the details of the graphic.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Green. Blue looks too much like the Frost Wyrms from Warcraft III.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I like the blue better, but they both fit the theme.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Blue. The green is too harsh against the elegant artwork.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Blue. Green has too much contrast and doesn't have the sleek look of blue.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Blue - more spectral. Green is for irradiated zombies.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Blue - while the green is more vibrant, it also seems to be more closely related to life. While blue does seem more frost-dragony (I'm sure that's a word!)... it is closer to a 'death' appearance than green.

Plus, the green is not as easy to see through... and it starts to look like a green dragon with very tiny spikes all over his hide.

    Both beautiful though... no doubt!

    ReplyDelete
  93. They're both nice, so I won't be disappointed either way, but I think Green looks a bit more evil.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Green. I think given the set it stands out more than the blue one.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Out of these two alternatives the blue one looks better with the purplish background, but I think the original art looked a lot better: green on a blackish background.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I like the blue it is more subtle, the green is cool but a bit over-the-top for me.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Blue.
    And blue.
There's two of us here that will be playing.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Green - death is always black or green in fantasy realms :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. I pefer the Blue. Green is more traditional as undead, however that makes the blue all the more attractive in this image.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Blue! It's got a spectral feel to it. The green is too vibrant, screams zombie and clashes with the background.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I vote the blue. I think blue makes it look more sleek. though both colors look amazing to say the least.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Blue gets my vote. It looks more Spectral!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Green, it has more of a classic undead look.

    ReplyDelete
  104. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Blue... Green looks too stereotype and I don't like how it contrasts to the background.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Blue; better color interaction with the background and green is such a cliche undead color

    ReplyDelete
  107. I don't have a preference for blue vs green. But, is changing the color of the dragon to an off white or tan an option? As it is, the dragon gets a bit blended into the background.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Green! Looks excellent with the Purple!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Blue.
The background is purple and the bones have a heavy hint of purple to them, blue would fit that color scheme much better. If you do end up going with green, please use the original greyish background. Green and purple make me think Barney.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I vote blue. For some reason at a quick glance the green looks like a shrub.

    ReplyDelete
  111. BLUE for sure. Blue has the cold chill of the dead to it while green has the essence of chlorophyll, and life,.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I like the green but it doesn't sit well with the purple background. I really liked the green on the dark grey that you had on the kickstarter page.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Blue :-) Definitely has a more cold, wraith-like look to it. The green looks more like a poisonous breath weapon.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Green. Blue is more of a celestial type of color whereas green represents more of an undead energy.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Blue. I think the green would look good if it was a really washed out green (pale, like the initial Undead dragon image we saw ages ago). Green has been used for undead things for so long that it really does fit, but it needs to be a dead, withered green; not this vibrant, bright green presented here.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Green is my favorite color and I'm voting Blue. It just looks better.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I prefer Blue, it´s more "ghostly" and darker. Green seems more like Mortal Combat.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Blue, absolutely blue! Although, I do agree with Nicholas' comment about if green is chosen, make it a pale, undead kind of green and not so vibrant.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Blue is more cold and dead. Green is more alive. I vote blue.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Blue very much. Green is sickly and poisonous but doesn't scream undead to me. Blue is ice, cold, dead.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Blue conveys the Undead theme more than green although they both look great!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Green looks more undead. Green contrasts better. Green is my favorite color.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Blue. Looks like I would imagine a Draco-lich (pardon the use of trademarked terms) SHOULD look. I also agree with Nicholas (post feb 25, 7:12 AM) that if you do go with green it needs to be a less vibrant green. The green is utterly cool, but it needs a grey or washed background (i.e., anything but The Riddler green-and-purple).

On a separate note, I really hope the rules are totally awesome, but I would have bought the game just for the card art. Seriously Kerem. Keep it coming. And rules guys just be aware that if you do an awesome job on the rules, this game is going to be a New Level of EPIC.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Blue is a more natural color combo. But the Green gives it a greater depth and seems more unnatural (not a bad thing :). I'm really good with either one.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Both are amazing. I agree with others that green gives more contrast with a purple background. Blue had a better 'feel' to it but would be better served with a different colored background.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Blue definitely captures the coldness of the undead better.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Blue edges it for me but I like them both

    ReplyDelete
  128. Blue looks more spectral and closer to what I would imagine the undead look like.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Blue... it looks more "Necrotic"
I believe that the green looks to be "Toxic".
    So my vote is BLUE!

    ReplyDelete
  130. Green. It stands out more. Plus it looks cool!

    ReplyDelete
  131. I vote Blue. Less zombie like, more arcanic

    ReplyDelete
  132. Blue, it looks nicer with the purple background.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Green. It is more supernatural. The blue is too SFish.
